Matt is a lifelong golfer and has worked in sports media for more than 15 years. Born in Pittsburgh and raised in Weirton, West Virginia, Matt is excited to combine two of his great passions on this website.
With professional experience in broadcasting, writing, reporting, public relations and website management, Matt will serve as the editorial director and primary voice of Pittsburgh Golf Now.

Mike Darnay – Photographer
Mike has spent the last decade honing his craft behind the camera. Mike has been shooting as a freelance sports photographer with the Mon Valley Independent since 2017, and has done work for Pittsburgh Sports Now over the past few years. Having been a golf fan for many years, but taken a more serious interest in playing golf over the past few years, the combination of golf and photo and video work is a perfect marriage for Mike.

Zac Weiss – Lead Reporter
Ever since his great-grandfather taught him how to play at a young age, Zac has been hooked on golf.
Zac has worked in sports media for half his life and has been credentialed by the PGA Tour, LPGA, PGA Tour Champions and Korn Ferry tours. You can find Zac’s bylines on both Pittsburgh Sports Now and Pittsburgh Soccer Now.
Zac has professional experience in writing, broadcasting, public relations and social media. He will serve as the lead reporter for Pittsburgh Golf Now.
