We’re officially branching out on the Pittsburgh Golf Now Par 4, brought to you by Pittsburgh Sports Live! Please welcome our first guest co-host, WTAE-TV reporter and certified golf junkie David Kaplan.

Unfortunately, this episode started on a somber note, as we broke down what we know about Tiger Woods’ injurious car crash, and why any news on him resonates well outside the world of sports.

There’s also talk about last week’s tight Genesis Invitational finish — David’s case of Finau Fever continues unabated — and what we might see as the PGA Tour heads to Florida for the next couple weeks.

Finally, we traded opinions on our favorite places to play in Pittsburgh. Not to bury the lead, but David’s played Oakmont a couple of times, so I picked his brain on that, too.
