PGN Site Stuff: Introducing the Appalachian Golf Alliance

Published

on

Alongside my business partner and good friend of the site Hunter Homistek, allow me to introduce an exciting new frontier for Pittsburgh-area golf.

Say hello to the Appalachian Golf Alliance!

Powered by the one-of-a-kind GroupLooper app, the Appalachian Golf Alliance aims to benefit both local players and local courses by making the entire golf experience more fun in 2021.

Through a mixture of collaboration and convenience, we believe the Appalachian Golf Alliance can help bring courses and players together more effectively and efficiently than ever before.

FOR PLAYERS

As a player, all you have to do is visit the GroupLooper site to create your free account and sample the features. You’ll have complimentary access to a nationwide course database and an assortment of tee-time planning features for you and your friends to put to use.

But there’s more!

For an annual fee of $39, you’ll be welcomed into the Appalachian Golf Alliance’s CloudClubhouse, which opens up a host of additional features at participating courses.

From the GolfScoreCloud paperless scorecard to the innovative JoinAGame app to a valuable coupon package, there are many benefits beyond the priceless convenience of exploring all your playing options in one spot.

FOR COURSE OPERATORS

If you’re a course operator, let us help you fill that tee sheet … without a national third-party service picking your pocket! For a flat annual rate, your course will become a host of the APA’s CloudClubhouse features, which include:

• A paperless scorecard complete with yardages, handicaps, side-game capabilities and plenty of sponsorship spaces
• The GroupLooper course database, where you can post and update your rate sheet and special offers on demand
• The JoinAGame app, which allows you to dangle tee times that aren’t yet maximized for the golfer who wants to get on the course last minute

Although we at Appalachian Golf Alliance will be offering our regional CloudClubhouse memberships to area golfers, we encourage courses to offer customized benefits for their most frequent patrons — offering opportunities for increased revenue and stronger loyalty and whatever price point the course chooses.

And, oh yeah, every course in western Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and eastern Ohio is eligible to join in the fun. Thanks to our two charter members, Moon Golf Club and Murrysville Golf Club, for helping us get the ball rolling!

Bottom line: Whether you’re a golfer trying to play more or a facility operator looking to parlay last year’s golf boom, we’d love to have you!
